Arif-Generation delivers integration programmes for young migrant communities across the UK, offering culturally sensitive support and advice to help navigate life in Britain. We promote mental wellbeing, access to education, and pathways to employment. Through open conversations around sex, sexuality, and reproductive health, including awareness of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), we empower individuals to make informed choices and participate fully in society.
DISCOVERWe, the founders of Arif-Generation, are former refugees who lived through the HIV pandemic in our countries of origin, marked by loss and poor healthcare, and faced mental health challenges in communities where support is minimal and stigma runs deep. In migrant societies, both STI and mental health issues remain taboo due to years of silence and neglect in advocacy.
Arif-Generation was born from the urgency to change this reality. We are committed to educating our communities about sexual health and mental wellbeing, breaking the stigma, and highlighting the critical lack of support for asylum seekers dealing with trauma and isolation.
To see young refugees thrive as educated, empowered members of British society living healthy, fulfilling lives free from the burden of HIV/AIDS, STIs, and mental health issues. We envision communities where access to sexual and mental health services goes hand in hand with opportunities for education, employment, and social inclusion, fostering dignity, resilience, and full integration.
To support the integration of young refugees into British society by promoting sexual and mental health, and ensur access to education, employment, and community resources that foster independence, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging.
At Arif-Generation, we are committed to fostering a community where every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to comprehensive sexual health services, education, and support.
Arif-Generation is committed to establishing and operating an accessible sexual health clinic in Ethiopia. This clinic will serve as a safe and welcoming space where young people can seek medical attention without fear of judgment or stigma.
Integration is our priority, supporting young refugees to understand the laws and values of the United Kingdom, engage with local customs, understand the law, and build a sense of belonging as active participants in British society.
We provide tailored advice and support to help young refugees access employment, education, and wider opportunities empowering them to build stable, independent lives within British society.
Arif-Generation coordinates four program models based on program goals and the needs of specific youth cohorts: (1) Service for secondary school students, (2) Homeless young adults , (3) Youth focused mental wellbeing programs, and (4) Service programs for HIV affected youth.
We strive to achieve a world in which every individual, regardless of their background, has equitable access to sexual health services, education, and support, enabling them to lead healthy, empowered lives free from stigma and discrimination.
